The Museum is Closed for Spring and Fall Off-Seasons.

Plan Your Visit

To fully enjoy our exhibits, we recommend allowing at least 45 minutes to 1 hour for your visit. To ensure ample time to explore, we encourage visitors to arrive by 4 pm. Please note that our last admission is at 4:30 pm, and we kindly ask all guests to conclude their visit by 5 pm.

Free scavenger hunt activities are available at the front desk for children. 

Sluice: The sluice is closed for the winter season.

Masks: In accordance with San Miguel County public health, masks are no longer required indoors. 

Admission Fees:

$9 General Admission
$6 Students (6-17)
$6 Seniors (65 and older)

Admission is free for Museum members and children 5 and under.

Telluride locals are free on Saturdays!

A optional $3 Audio Tour is available in English and Spanish. (Free for visually impaired visitors)

Off-Seasons:

The Museum is closed during two off-season periods: early-April through early-June, and mid-October through early-December. 
During this time, staff conducts routine maintenance, cleaning, and exhibit installation.
Tours can be arranged based on staff availability and the condition of the Museum, but these tours must be arranged at least 48 hours in advance.

Parking:

There are four parking spaces located on either side of the Museum (two on each side). Ample free 2-hour parallel parking is available in the neighborhood area surrounding the Museum.

Accessibility:

The Telluride Historical Museum is committed to making its facilities and programs accessible to all visitors. First floor museum galleries and entrances are wheelchair accessible. Restrooms are located on the ground floor and are equipped with handicap railing. Unfortunately, at this time the second floor exhibits in our historic building are not ADA accessible, please contact us for updates.
